A Bench Built for Power Design
Applying a converter and a supply correctly is as important as choosing the right part, and because the performance depends on the derating, the thermal path and the input filtering, the integration decides whether the equipment runs cool and compliantly. To support customers more effectively, BeiLuo has opened an FAE verification bench dedicated to Cincon converters and supplies. The bench lets our engineers measure the efficiency, the thermal derating and the railway compliance before a customer commits to a design, turning advice into evidence.
The bench complements the stock program announced in July. Where the stocking program answers the question of whether a part is available, the new bench answers the question of whether the part will perform in a specific application. Together they let BeiLuo support a design from selection through validation, rather than only at the point of sale.
What We Measure
The bench is equipped with precision power meters, programmable electronic loads, a thermal chamber, a high-bandwidth oscilloscope and a LISN for conducted emissions. Engineers measure the efficiency of a supply or a module across the load, the case and the baseplate temperature at the worst case, the ripple and the transient on each rail, the isolation with a hipot test and the conducted emissions with the filter in place. For a railway module the bench imposes the wide input variation and the surge that the standard requires.
Efficiency and Derating
Power meters on both sides give the efficiency and the loss, and a thermal chamber plus thermocouples give the case and the baseplate temperature at the worst case. The bench reads the derating curve against the measured temperature, so it can confirm whether a part in a warm enclosure still delivers the power the design needs, which is the practical question in a compact cabinet.
Railway Compliance and Emissions
The bench can impose the input variations and the surge of a rail system and confirm the ride-through and the protection against the EN50155 class, and a LISN measures the conducted emissions from the input with the real load. That turns a railway compliance or an EMC question into a measured answer before the equipment is built.
From Selection to Validation
When a customer asks which part suits their design, our FAE team can now validate the recommendation on the bench. We measure the efficiency and the derating, the ripple and the transient, or the railway ride-through, compare the result with the datasheet expectation and confirm the margin. The result is a design path backed by measured data, which reduces the risk of a late-stage surprise and shortens the path to a reliable design.
Thermal and EMC Validation
The bench can bring up a customer's board and confirm the derating, the ripple, the isolation and the conducted emissions in one session, so the power and the EMC design are checked together rather than separately. That supports a product that passes the standard on the first attempt.
Supporting a Design End to End
The bench is a support tool, not a test house, and it is strongest when used early. A typical engagement starts with a selection question, moves to a bench check of the chosen parts under the customer's conditions, and ends with a validated recommendation for the converter and the supply. Because BeiLuo holds the parts in regional stock, the validated part can then move quickly to a sample and a production order.
Working With the FAE Team
Our FAE team pairs the bench with years of field experience across industrial, telecom and railway power designs. When a customer brings a problem, the team reproduces it in a controlled setup, measures the parameter that matters and proposes a fix that is verified on the bench rather than guessed at. That approach has resolved input-filter, thermal and ride-through issues that would otherwise surface late in a build, and it turns a support question into a measured, documented answer. The team also keeps a record of each evaluation, so a later design change can be compared against the original result and the reasoning stays clear.
How to Use the Bench
Customers can request a bench evaluation by sending their rails, the input and the environment, and their EMC and compliance targets to the BeiLuo team. Our engineers will set up the test, measure the key parameters and share the results with a design recommendation. Because the bench and the stock program work together, a customer can validate a part on the bench and then hold production stock within the same week. The bench is one more reason to treat BeiLuo as a technical partner for Cincon products rather than a simple parts supplier.
